Cincinnati Bengals rookie cornerback Brandon Ghee was carted off the field after a violent helmet-to-helmet collision with Buffalo Bills running back Chad Simpson in a preseason game Saturday night. Ghee lay motionless for several minutes before being able to sit up along the Bills sideline after he was hurt six minutes into the third quarter.

Cowboys rookie receiver Dez Bryant suffered a right ankle injury near the end of practice Friday. Coach Wade Phillips said the preliminary indication was a sprained ankle, but that further tests were planned. Bryant became entangled with cornerback Orlando Scandrick while trying to catch a pass that was thrown behind him on one of the last plays of the day.
